Operation Santa

Inspired by Shaun’s St Jude and other philanthropic efforts, our District Supervisor Donald Lewis presented the idea to the team that we “adopt” a local homeless shelter this year, and deliver gifts to kids that otherwise wouldn’t have had any for Christmas this year. Restaurant Managers collected $5 from crew members who wished to participate, and then the Managers and Supervisors pitched in a little bit as well. Through the generosity of the individual store teams, we were able to raise enough funds to get over 200 gifts for the shelter, and ensured that each and every child received a gift. A group of Managers and District Supervisors went shopping for the toys together, then all of the Managers put on Santa hats and wrapped the gifts at our December monthly meeting. The Network Trainers accompanied the Supervisors to deliver the gifts to the Shelter just in time for their Holiday party!

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Annual Pin-Up Promotion

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has been an integral part of the Cain Family since 2008 when Shaun Cain experienced first-hand the wonderful work they do when he visited the hospital with the Eric Trump Foundation as a Board Member. Since then, Shaun and his family have worked tirelessly with St. Jude to design an in-store Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins Pin-Up Promotion to benefit the kids of St. Jude through $1 donations from their guests. The promotion began with just 10 store and only raised $7,090 and Shaun knew CMI needed to do better. The Cain Family began involving surrounding franchise groups and the numbers grew exponentially. Presently, through the efforts of CMI to promote the incredible research work of St. Jude and the resources, facilities and hope they provide to families in need, the St. Jude Pin-Up Promotion now involves over 500 stores throughout the tri-state area from 30 separate franchise groups. To date, the promotion has raised over $1,200,000 and our goal this year is to raise $500,000 to go directly to the patients at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Joy in Childhood Foundation

Bringing joy to sick and hungry kids.

The Joy in Childhood Foundation provides the simple joys of childhood to sick and hungry kids. Since 2006, the Joy in Childhood Foundation (formerly The Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation) has been deeply embedded in communities across the country and has donated over $11 million to hundreds of national and local charities.  In 2016, the Foundation rebranded as the Joy in Childhood Foundation, a name that reflects our renewed focus on helping kids—particularly those facing hunger and sickness—find joy in their daily lives.  Through the generosity of our franchisees, employees, vendors and guests, the Joy in Childhood Foundation raises funds to support partnerships with children’s hospitals, food banks, and nonprofit organizations directly committed to serving sick and hungry kids.

As an ongoing effort from Dunkin Brands and Franchisees to help children in need , Joy in Child hood foundation handing over a check of $50000 to ST Jude Children Research hospital.
